Ephesus Entrance Fees, Opening Hours and Visit Information
Key answer
The most confident-looking number on a travel page may be the least reliable fact on it. Admission prices, seasonal hours, evening openings and temporary closures can change; the archaeological evidence does not, but the visitor operation does.
Check the Turkish Museums portal close to the visit date. Search for Efes Örenyeri and read the current entry in full. If the portal and a tour page disagree, the official portal takes precedence.
Check more than the headline ticket
Different areas or museums in the Ephesus landscape may have separate admission arrangements. Do not assume that an ancient-city ticket automatically covers the Terrace Houses, the Ephesus Museum, the Basilica of St John or another nearby site. The same caution applies to museum passes and special evening programmes.
Treat closures as conservation, not inconvenience
Archaeological sites are working heritage places. A gallery, monument or route may close for conservation, excavation, weather or visitor safety. That can alter the shape of a visit without diminishing the value of the city that remains open.
Mr Ephesus should not reproduce a fixed fee or hour in evergreen copy. A guide or reservations agent can explain how the current official arrangement affects a particular plan, while the final authority remains the site operator.
